Modular steel water tanks are among the most earthquake-resistant storage options. They are manufactured in accordance with BS 1564:1975 Type 2 standards.
BS 1564-compliant modular steel tanks are the best solution for large capacities (over 1000 m³). They can be used as main water storage tanks for military units, towns, and cities.
They are preferred for outdoor installations and especially for tanks mounted on towers.
DESIGN
BS 1564 modular steel tanks consist of panels that are press-formed and assembled on-site using bolted connections.
The panel dimensions are 1220 mm x 1220 mm (4 ft x 4 ft).
In modular steel tanks, watertightness is ensured with EPDM gaskets.
Since the panels are cut using 5-axis laser cutting machines, they are precise and flawless.
The tank base is designed either with internal or external flanges. The base support detail is determined according to the bottom design.
The internal load-bearing steel profiles inside the tank are engineered to distribute loads evenly across the panels. These supporting profiles are made of formed sheet metal components.
MATERIAL ALTERNATIVES
The thickness range of pressed panels is 4 mm – 6 mm.
Hot-dip galvanized steel (EN 10111) is used, with galvanizing applied in accordance with EN ISO 1461:2009.

DESIGN OPTIONS
BS 1564 modular steel water tanks can be installed on towers
Tanks that will be assembled in open areas can be designed with a sloping roof.
The tank can be divided into two or more compartments using a separator. Information regarding this application should be obtained from the Esinoks R&D department.
All nozzles on the tank are manufactured at the Esinoks factory before shipment. The nozzle diameters and positions on the tank are determined by the customer.
Optional features should be discussed during the quotation stage.
Externally Flanged
Internally Flanged
